Interactive Demo

Run the BirdNET Geomodel directly in your browser — no server required. The ONNX FP16 model (~7 MB) is loaded once and all inference happens locally via ONNX Runtime Web.

Research preview — not a definitive range map

This model predicts relative likelihood of species occurrence based on citizen-science observations (primarily eBird). Predictions are shaped by where and when people observe, not only by where species actually occur. Areas with few observers (oceans, deserts, remote tropics) will have lower confidence or missing species. The model should not be used as the sole basis for conservation decisions, legal compliance (e.g. environmental impact assessments), or definitive species range boundaries. Always cross-reference with authoritative sources (IUCN, BirdLife, local atlases) for critical applications.
